Yeah!!! Finally had some Chinese songs on my laptop. Million thanks to Gary Ho!!! Those who know me well would know that I am a Chinese pop artist fan, and some even say I took Chinese entertainment as GE. Really I have been listening to Chinese pop songs since Pri. 5. Bought my first cassette tape at the age of 11 which was Aaron Kwok’s Dui Ni Ai Bu Wan. At that time I was also listening to Wang Jie, Wu Qi Xian and Xiao Hu Dui’s songs but my favourite is still Aaron Kwok (and now still is). Then came CD technology and the first CD I bought was Andy Lau’s compilation. Then from his “Xiao Qing Ren” to “Tian Yi”, “Wang Qing Sui”, “Xiang Si Cheng Zai”, and Canto albums; I just kept buying. Then came internet and I stopped buying altogether. I did however bought his latest album but that was before I came to France. I guess I am probably out of touch with the events in showbiz now. Anyway, to those kind people who are reading this: please send some songs to wychkraft@gmail.com. I just signed up this today. But the transfer rate is very slow hence only do so when u have the time.
I spent the whole afternoon in the multimedia centre receiving songs from Gary. I also gave him my yahoo briefcase password for him to upload songs into it. Besides this I was also planning for my tour and was quite stuck in the plan for the Loire Valley trip. It seemed like there are no youth hostels in that area. Thereafter, I went back and made a call home. I told them that the time here had changed; one hour faster and hence I am now 6 hrs behind SG time instead of 7. Then bro told me that there is a letter from NTU to all students. Some applications for scholarship under IDA. He asked me to check on the info online and said could submit for me the form before the deadline which is 15 April. I will check that out. Mum asked if I had picked up smoking and I said of course no. I told her that my flight has been brought forward to 8th July instead of 11th. She said that is great. But I told her I am still fighting for the 11th. She really felt that I had been away for too long and time is passing very slowly. I told her soon I would be back; just 13 more weeks.
After the call, I listened to those Chinese songs that Gary sent me. I got my favourite Andy Lau’s Forgetful Water, which is the live version. I also got some Eason’s songs like Brother Sister, King of K Song and Your backpack. He also sent me 2 songs from a newcomer called Li Sheng Jie but I think I heard his songs before I came here in December. He sounds like Ronald Cheng (Zheng Zhong Ji) and looks like Stephen Chow. To those who would like to send songs to me, I prefer the following artists. The 4 Heavenly Kings (esp Aaron and Andy), Ekin Cheng, Lee Hom, Alex To and Vivian Chow. Thanks in advance.

I find that with internet access available at night and weekend, I am not as bored as before. I even feel like staying back during the weekend just to surf net and stop all my touring. This will help me save money. I find that I have been spending close to 500 euros per month which amounts to a horrible 1000 SGD. But after yesterday’s great trip to Mont St Michel, I dropped the idea. The month of April is the most crucial month for me I feel. This is when my sup returns and will give me work to do. And I feel that once I can scrape through this month, come May it would smooth sailing for me. Because as scheduled, in May I would have to write my paper. And it would be just typing and typing, no more programming! Yes, if I survive this month, I would be able to see the light at the other end of the tunnel…
