08 May Victory Day (Day 110)

Today was Victory Day, the day on which the allies won the Second World War in the European theatre. I woke up at 930am despite the fact that I slept at 4am. I was anxious to download all the pics as well as clips I took yesterday into my laptop. My only disappointment was I didn’t have many shots of Marie. But the firework displays was fantastic, although it was kind of blur. For lunch, I had some stir-fry pork, egg, carrots and rice. The kitchen was in a piece of shit condition and I expect it to be the same till tomorrow. Emily came to the kitchen to take something. I know I shouldn’t blame the youngsters for their party but I just don’t like it. I used to like this kind of party when I was younger, perhaps in secondary school and felt excited when my friends and I tried on alcohols. But now, I just drink coffee or tea. Lao ren really.

I watched Toy Story 2 in the afternoon with coke and chips and the movie was still as funny as the first. Esp. the NGs scenes. Then it was some art and craft session after being inspired by Marie’s books but still my drawings look like shit. So I gave up and went to cook dinner early. As expected, the kitchen had not recovered to its original less shitty condition. And while cooking, my neighbours came in again bringing more food. I think they are going to have a party later.

Sunday is all about rest and I appreciate the free time. I have another 2 more great weekends to look forward to. The coming one would be to Loire Valley and the following one to the Pink Coast where Laurent has a house there. I guess the next would be to Quimper or Point du Raz or both if I decide to stay in Quimper for a night. For that I would ask Ana or Ravi to go with me. The following would be my birthday and hopefully I would be able to go to the Island, with someone of course. The last one would be to Dinard. I have decided to drop Rennes as I have no time for it due to the insertion of the Pink Coast and the Loire Valley. But I would visit the Fine Art museum on one good Sunday.
