I planned to wake up at 10am but somehow at 845am, I woke up and couldn’t go back to sleep anymore. I hope I can sleep later on Sundays because I have nothing much to do. But the sunlight shining through the blinds woke me up. Furthermore, once I was awake, it would be too cold to go back to sleep. I had to do something than just lying on the bed in order not to feel cold. I have been eating the same breakfast for one and a half month. Chocolate cereal plus choco drink. But it is better than nothing. After breakfast I took out a piece of paper and began drawing. I was looking through the photos which I took in Carnac and in the end chose the one with me, Rodrigo and Maialen in it. There is no news from them since I met them last Saturday. Hope they would reply my email soon.
After drawing lesson was over (I am lousiest when come to drawing portrait and Maialen was drawn ugly), I began typing my novel. It is difficult to write a fantasy novel without adapting ideas from Lord of the Rings and Warcraft. But still it was quite fun to create. But it also takes inspirations and soon I ran out of that at noon. Lunch was noodle and egg. While I was cooking, another French guy was in the kitchen too. He was having his breakfast I guess because he was only eating French loaf and drinking milk. He warmed his milk first before drinking.
Afternoon was another movie screening and today it is Chinese sword fighting movie “Xiao Bai Long”. It was another super crappy movie but I felt that it was still worth watching because of 2 reasons. One: the beauty of Cecilia Cheung. Regardless of how many scandals she has, she still has the charm of a star. Hope she could make it big. Anyway, she is still young (think same age as me. One of my campmates said that he was her classmate last time when he went to HK for studies. Don’t know real or not) and has got plenty of time. The second reason why the show is good is because of Wu Zheng Yu. He played a blind swordman and his acting is scarily real. Though I still prefer him playing a psycho to playing a dumbwit in the show. There are touching moments when Cecilia asked Wu what he wants to see most if he regains his sight. He said he would like to see the stars, the sea, the land and her. But most of the time it was hilarious. There is “Man Tou” delivery and on the bun, there is the letter M. The prince showed his scar on his chest to Cecilia and it was the Nike tick sign. The people played tennis and rollerblades then too. And Cecilia was able to play Beethoven’s Symphony 9 using her flute.
I had a good laugh watching the show. Thereafter, it was area cleaning again. Then I had a mini ZX concert and recorded some singings into my digital cam. I thought I sounded not too bad when I played the songs on my laptop. Soon I was bored with that also and began to plan things for the rest of the month. Next Saturday I would definitely go to Fougere if it isn’t snowing. The following I would rest and just go into town to do grocery. On 26th March (the following Sat) I would go St Malo. This trip has been postponed too many times. The weather should turn better by then. It would almost be April. I would also finalize the places that I want to visit during my tour after IA by the end of March. I would send it to hui first since he would be my traveling companion and if he agrees on the plan, I would start planning the itinerary. For now, the plan would be to travel every alternate weekend and do grocery on those Sat that I am not traveling. Now I need to do grocery just once every 2 weeks. But I might not be able to visit all the interesting places in Bretagne if I were to just travel fortnightly. So in May, perhaps I would travel every weekend.
I had a pasta feast for dinner. As I wanted to finish the remaining pasta which is equivalent to 1.5 servings, I threw everything into the pot. Then I added 3 spoon-full of sauce and it was really very filling. The sauce is good as there are pieces of carrot and onion inside plus some minced meat. But I have to ration it because the bottle isn’t very big. Maybe I would use ketchup sauce when I am cooking with sardine. On my calendar, I had the dinner menu written down for each day for the next 2 weeks. I did this because I have 3 cans of carrot, 3 cans of luncheon and 3 cans of sardine and I want to spread them out nicely. Also I have 6 eggs, 14 pieces of bread (1 loaf), biscuits, pasta, rice and noodles. I took quite some time to plan everything because I want to have different combinations of the canned food with the staple food. Also I want to make sure that I don’t eat egg consecutively for 3 days but at the same time ensuring that I finish them before the expiry date. I think by organizing this way it would be easier for me to do my grocery next time and also would help me save money as I wouldn’t overeat. Then I came out with a list of places in Bretagne that I would go during my stay here.
1 Fougeres – 12th March (coach)
2 St Malo – 26th March (train)
3 Nantes – 9th April (train)
4 Mont St Michel – 23rd April (train)
These 4 are for sure. For the rest, it would depend on the accessibility, money and time.
5 Forest of Paimpont (King Arthur’s Forest) - 30th April (Coach)
6 Quimper (if my Spanish friend is there) – 7th May (train)
7 Treguier (for the pardon festival) – 15th May (train to Lannion + coach)
8 Point du Raz (most west point of Europe) – 21st May (train to Quimper + coach) [might 9 combine with the Quimper trip since I have to take coach from Quimper]
10 Belle-ile (island stay) – 28th May (train to Quiberon + ferry)
11 Brest (Oceanopolis the underwater aquarium) - 4th June [or maybe 3rd of June to coincide with my Bday]
12 Dinard (very near Rennes so for sure will go) – 11th June [last stop better to be somewhere near]
All these are just for my daydreaming and to make me feel shiok. There would definitely be changes to the above plan because there might be other more interesting places to visit. I have also come up with a list of things that I would do first when I get back to Singapore because I am thinking of home right now.
1. eat dim sum and/or zhi cha (confirm go Teahouse for dim sum)
2. cut hair (sure very long by then)
3. sun tan at swimming pool (I miss the sun!!!)
4. gym with ws and gary (must pump back my muscles J)
5. coffee at TCC Holland V with pri. Sch friends (our fav. outing place)
6. meet other friends (sec, JC, Hall2)
7. get internet access for my home PC (no more in hall…)
8. get new phone (phone very ugly)
9. visit relatives and Grandma (still remember that afternoon before I went to the airport I called grandma and said goodbye to her… so sad)
10. go back sch do admin (register subjects, FYP, etc)

Hi!I visited your blog today and found in it a fantastically creative engineer with artistic nature that is you. And for our common Chinese-related culture origin I feel a great pleasure to share with you my information and blog. I am a college teacher. Come around and I hope we'd be good friends.
